Will my customers actually use a portal?

Commercial and property clients generally do, because they need records for their own reporting. Household customers use it less and respond better to a direct message. Omni Field sends job updates by email and WhatsApp as well, so the portal is a record rather than your one route to them.

Can customers request new work through the portal?

Yes. In Omni Field a service request submitted through the portal creates a job and notifies the dispatch team, so the request lands as work rather than as an email someone has to retype into the system.

Can customers pay through the portal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through Paystack by card or bank payment. You do not need a separate merchant account. Payouts reach your bank in 2 to 3 days and carry a 1% transaction charge on what you collect.
