Does route optimisation avoid traffic?

Accepted Answer

No. Route optimisation plans the shortest path between a technician's stops, up to 12 stops each, and it does not react to live traffic conditions. It still removes a lot of unnecessary driving by ordering the day sensibly instead of in the order the jobs were booked. Planned and actual routes can be compared afterwards.

Does clock-in happen automatically when a technician arrives?

Accepted Answer

No. Clock-in is geofence-verified rather than geofence-triggered. The technician clocks in from the field app, and the platform checks that entry against your approved site geofences, flagging anything recorded outside the zone for review. Timesheet entries carry the GPS coordinates of each clock-in and clock-out, so time and place are recorded together.

How often does the live map update?

Technician positions refresh about every 30 seconds while tracking is active, so the dispatch map reflects where the team actually is. Each pin carries that technician's current job and status. Tracking is consent-based, and the technician agrees to it in the field app before any position is recorded.

Can I get an alert when someone leaves a site?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Draw a geofence around any job site or service area, and you can be alerted when a technician arrives, leaves, or leaves before the work is marked complete. Boundaries are drawn per site, so a customer's premises and your own depot can carry different rules. Alerts reach managers in-app and by email.

Can I prove where a technician was on a given day?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Location history keeps the route trail for any technician on any date, with full playback and export to CSV or PDF. That settles payroll questions, client billing disputes and safety records without a debate. Timesheet entries carry their own GPS coordinates, so the time and the place are recorded together.
