Does the mobile app work without a signal?

Technicians can keep working when the connection drops, and changes such as status updates, notes and photos are held in a sync queue and sent once the device is back online. Some actions still need a connection, so treat it as resilient to gaps rather than a replacement for one.

Do technicians install it from an app store?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a progressive web app, so technicians open a link in their phone browser and add it to the home screen, where it behaves like an installed app. That means no app store approval to wait for and no manual updates to chase. It runs on both Android and iOS phones.

What can a technician do from their phone?

Accepted Answer

They can see the day's schedule, accept jobs, update status as they go, capture before and after photos, collect a customer signature, log parts used, read the customer history and message the office. Status changes carry a timestamp and GPS position, so the office sees progress without phoning to ask.

Is there an extra charge for the mobile app?

Accepted Answer

No. The app is part of the platform, and what you pay for is technician seats. PaYu is R119 per month plus R99 per technician, and Growth is R349 per month including one technician, with extra seats at R189. Admin and viewer users are free, and all advertised prices include 15% VAT.

Can technicians navigate to the next job?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each job carries the customer's address and opens in maps for one-tap navigation. Where route optimisation is used, the day's stops are ordered by shortest path across up to 12 stops per technician. It plans on the distance between stops and does not adjust for live traffic conditions, so local knowledge still counts.
